woman with light behind her

I am sick of it.

I am sick and tired of all the whining, the complaining, and insults being hurled about in this country and in our communities. I am sick of people being scared and nervous over what is going on in the world. Heck, I’m sick and tired of being scared and nervous. Most of all, I am sick and tired of waiting for a leader.

So let’s stop waiting. Let us all join together and decide that this year, 2013, is the year that we become the leader we are waiting for.

Every time you hear a complaint come out of your own mouth about the state of the world, the state of our country, the president, congress, your community, your business, or your family step back. Way back.

Look at the situation from the perspective of a leader and ask yourself how to move your idea forward. What are you going to personally do to make the world a better place because sitting around complaining from the sidelines hasn’t changed anything.

Every single time you hear or see something on the news that shocks you, saddens you, or horrifies you step back. Getting caught up in the emotion and fear will not change anything, it will not make the world better – in fact, it will make your own world worse.

What will change things?

When you decide to step up and be a leader. What can you do in your personal life to serve? How can you be active in your community? What can you do to make the world a better place?

If you agree with me, I challenge you to take this pledge:

“In 2013, and every year hereafter, when I get nervous, I will find a way to be of service.”

Sign your name on the comment section of our Facebook page or on our blog. Share the pledge and make it a movement.

Let’s all join together and stop waiting for a leader. Let’s be that leader.
