Linda Yach, Transition Coach

A multi-accredited professional coach, Linda has a genuine passion for helping others to make their lives more meaningful and rewarding. She is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) through the Coaches Training Institute and has also earned an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential from the International Coach Federation.

Since becoming a coach in November 2007, Linda has focused primarily on working with people in transition, be it career, relationship, or any of life’s other crossroads that prompt us to wonder “what’s next?”  She is dedicated to effecting positive change by assisting individuals in defining a personal path that leads to a career -- and a life -- that they truly love.

Linda has firsthand experience with the challenge and rewards that come from finding the right route. Before becoming a coach, she worked as a bilingual Spanish teacher and following that spent the majority of her career as a paralegal.  In fact, Linda uncovered her true passion for coaching while working with a coach to identify her own true career path.  She believes that coaching delivers a medium in which to mine one’s values and beliefs and chart a route that leads to fulfillment, in one’s career, and in all areas of one’s life.

In addition to completing her coaching certification, Linda has attended and completed leadership classes through Rapport Leadership International, from which she is a Master Graduate, Level Two.  She has attended Toastmasters International, and is currently attending Speaking Circles® International, a powerful public speaking program that focuses on speaking with confidence, clarity, and connection.

Although coaching is her principal passion, Linda enjoys many other interests during her free time.  She loves exploring a wide array of new activities, everything from dragon boating to salsa dancing.  In addition, she is an enthusiastic soccer goalie as well as an avid hiker, having tackled California’s Mt. Tallac, Mt. Dana, and Mt. Whitney within the past year.  She finds her retreat and rejuvenation in the great outdoors and spends much of her time with friends, actively discovering the San Francisco Bay area’s exquisite beauty.  Her sights are now set on a trek down California’s Lost Coast and a journey to Peru’s Machu Picchu.  Drawing on her past teaching experience, she remains enthralled with the Spanish culture and is planning a trip to Spain this fall.

Linda lives her life by her core values of trust, respect, integrity, compassion, movement, and laughter.  She and Corinne also share the values of tenacity and fierce courage.

Commitment Statement

I am committed to working with people of all backgrounds, careers, and walks of life to uncover what it is they truly want to create in their lives and then helping them on the path that starts with a clearly articulated dream and leads to fulfilling reality.  We will work together to identify goals and visions, create a plan for achieving those goals, uncover any challenges that may be blocking progress, and then build the energy and motivation to move forward with enthusiasm.  Co-active coaching grants power to the client-coach relationship. The exploring and mining that grow out of this collaboration open up new perspectives and dig deeper into uncovering each client’s genuine desires.

As your coach, I am committed to being your “accountabili-buddy” through our journey: doing whatever it takes, whether it be pushing, pulling, challenging, or encouraging, to get you to confidently follow what might seem at first like the “road not taken” and in reality is the route you were meant to take to reach a life of meaning and fulfillment.  The work that takes place during our coaching sessions will take you and your life from where you are now to where you were truly meant to be.  From the lyrics of a current pop song, I honesty believe that we get to “live like we’re dying”.  Now is the time.
